A combined headquarters and film backdrop.

The new headquarters of the Bank of Shanghai are located in Shanghai’s most modern district: Pudong New Area. This high-rise was completed in 2005 and is 252 metres tall and served as backdrop for Tom Cruise in the third film in the successful Mission Impossible series. This post-modern skyscraper echoes the designs from the renowned Art Deco façades along the famous Bund waterfront on the other side of the Huangpu River.

The D+H ventilation solution consists of 1200 KA Series drives and ensures that the indoor air is healthy and the work atmosphere is pleasant on the 46 floors towering into the sky. The powerful chain drives boast a maximum stroke of 600 mm and can withstand the strong winds that batter the façade.

Japanese star architect Kenzo Tange designed the distinguished company headquarters. Tange is world-renowned for his Olympic arenas that were built in 1964 and for designing the 1970 World's Fair in Tokyo. He passed away in 2005, shortly after his last building opened.
