- myCalc – Precise calculation of smoke extraction areas and window drives
You can use our software for SHEV and NSHEV planning at no cost. myCalc can be used to calculate the geometric smoke extraction areas of windows – based on the width and height of the sash and profile. The system takes the opening angle or stroke length into account and recommends a suitable D+H window drive.
myCalc can also be used to calculate the aerodynamically effective areas required in the fire protection analysis. Then, in collaboration with a certified D+H partner, you can determine a certified NSHEV that matches the technical values and performance class requirements.
- Machinery Directive – Minimise your liability risk as an installer
In accordance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive, as a window fitter, you bear the liability risk as the responsible installer of power-operated windows. Ideally, a risk assessment is performed in the planning stage, well before installation starts. This means that the system consisting of the drive and window needs to have been designed and produced under consideration of the results of the risk assessment. Appropriate protective measures must be implemented.
- Implementing NSHEV cost-effectively and in accordance with standards
Natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (NSHEV) dissipate hot flue gas in case of fire. Here, vital smoke-free areas are ensured close to the ground and on escape and emergency routes. NSHEV is formed of the interaction of all smoke extraction solution components used – from the window profile to the drive. All individual parts of a defined NSHEV system require safety-related certificates. You get this additional benefit for all D+H products exclusively and without additional costs.
