The aesthete in the façades
Delicate and powerful: The slim LDx-1800 louvre drive from D+H opens and closes even the heaviest louvre windows quietly and reliably. In addition to the standard version, the drive is also available in an ADVANCE version with the Advanced Communication Bus (ACB) technology. This technology is based on the Modbus RTU protocol, enabling the drive to be integrated easily into a property's building management system (BMS). The technical design of the LDx-1800 makes it perfect for smoke extraction and heat dissipation in buildings in accordance with DIN EN 12101-2, in addition to providing natural ventilation. D+H will present the LDx-1800 for the first time at BAU 2019.
A characteristic component of modern architecture: Louvre windows are a defining element of style for sophisticated façade design these days. Both the 230 V and 24 V variants of the slim LDx-1800 drive fit unobtrusively into the aesthetics of complex glass structures. Its compact, anodised aluminium housing has tiny dimensions of just 38 x 350 x 70 mm. Equipped with ACB technology, it regulates the opening positions of louvre windows for natural ventilation with millimetre precision. Looking to open your windows by a gap of just 30 mm? Or would you prefer 80 mm for complete room ventilation? Together with the CPS-M digital smoke vent control panel, the LDx-1800 offers outstanding ventilation characteristics in addition to smoke and heat exhaust ventilation. Up to 32 drives can be connected together on a single cable. "Virtual grouping" in the SCS software from D+H makes it possible to control the drives on that line as a group while also allowing fully individualised parameter configuration for each. The corresponding reduction in cable routing and the decreased need for additional modules result in an immense cost advantage for customers of D+H. Purely for ventilation purposes, ACB drives can also be integrated directly into existing building automation to meet any customer requirements.
In addition to versatile application possibilities, the LDx-1800 also features enormous force of pressure and locking pressure. The drive can open and close large, heavy louvres using a force of up to 1,800 N. For exceptionally heavy louvre windows, the ADVANCE version even allows four drives to be activated in synchronisation. Thanks to the IP54 protection class, these drives can even be used in swimming pools or other similar wet rooms. The clever drive technology in the LDx-1800 provides more than safety and security, it also offers maximum comfort. Its operating noise is barely audible. In addition, its excellent energy efficiency provides the added benefit of low current consumption.
Those interested can find more detailed information about the slim yet extraordinarily powerful LDx-1800 louvre drive from D+H at BAU 2019 from 14 to 19 January in Hall B1, Stand 420.
