D+H wins German Brand Award
"BUILDING ATMOSPHERE" is the brand promise and new claim from D + H, which has been setting the emotional tone of brand management for the family-owned company for several months now through the use of cross-media campaigns, video productions and trade show exhibitions. The innovative, visual language with attention-grabbing motifs within the B2B sector has clearly caught the eye of the brand scouts from the German Brand Institute. D+H's focused and distinctive brand work has been recognized by the competition jury as the winner in their category. In other categories, the list of distinguished award winners include, among others, Lufthansa, Motel One and Kyocera.
Best brand management has come to the mid-sized sector
D+H accepted the award from the renowned panel of experts with pride and joy. "For us, the prize is a confirmation that we recognised the great challenge of brand management, and have successfully implemented our marketing mix," exclaims Katja Mühle, Head of Marketing and Communication at D+H Mechatronic AG. Any company that wants to grow in the eyes of customers, today and in the future, and also wants to maintain this level of brand awareness, has no choice but to build a sustainable brand profile. This is no longer true for just the B2C area, but also increasingly for the B2B sector, concludes Mühle. Just the simple fact alone that D+H - a medium-sized company for smoke extraction and natural ventilation - now belongs to the award winners of the renowned German Brand Award clearly shows that brand work is an increasingly important factor in the success of medium-sized businesses.
The competition jury received a total of 1,200 submissions in various categories. This jury consists of independent brand experts from different specialist fields. The award winners of the German Brand Award were honoured at a ceremonial gala, held at the German Historical Museum (Deutsches Historisches Museum) in Berlin. More than 500 invited guests from the fields of economics, politics and media attended the exclusive event.
The objective of the German Brand Institute is to strengthen the importance of branding as a decisive factor for success for companies working throughout national and international competitive environments. A brand not only does convey information on the goods and services of the company, it offers a means of orientation as well as self-affirmation for customers and embodies values. For a long time already, customers haven't been just buying products. They buy brands.
"Our customers associate D+H with more than just smoke extraction and controlled natural ventilation products. Instead, when they look at us, they see solutions that are in line with the market," says Christoph Kern, D+H Mechatronic AG Board Member. "They know that they're getting a plus in quality, innovation and expertise from us."
Only those companies nominated by the German Brand Institute, its brand scouts and expert panels were able to take part in the German Brand Award 2017. "We are very happy that, as a mid-sized and family-run company, D+H now ranks among the strongest brands in Germany," says Dirk Dingfelder, D+H Mechatronic AG's Chairman of the Board. The company will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next year. They were only too happy to accept the German Brand Award as an early anniversary gift.
