Environmental awareness is a matter of course for us, because our future is inextricably linked to the health of the planet. Accordingly, we have established an environmental management system in accordance with the internationally valid DIN ISO 14001. The objective is to improve environmental protection in our company continuously to ensure that it is upheld for the long term. We have this certified in annual audits. In the event of any deviations from our desired results, suitable corrective measures are taken immediately.
Our environmental objective is to determine potential savings by accurately measuring our environmentally relevant consumption data, such as water, heat and energy, and reducing waste or avoiding it entirely using an active waste and recycling management system.
Our products have a long service life and thus are intrinsically environmentally friendly. Our focus on natural ventilation also makes a key contribution to reducing energy consumption when using our products.

Accordingly, in addition to our products and their manufacturing, our employees are an essential factor in environmental management. We hold regular training sessions in their specific area of responsibility to keep their environmental awareness up-to-date and relevant in terms of our environmental objectives.
Not only does D+H advocate on behalf of the environment, our customers also place great value on complying with environmental standards. Our environmentally responsible production helps to ensure that green building concepts with natural ventilation or lift shaft smoke extraction can be certified in accordance with LEED or DGNB. This provides a critical competitive advantage.
