Awarded with a DGNB platinum certificate, the organic goods trading company Alnatura has a new headquarters in Darmstadt dubbed the "Alnatura Arbeitswelt" (Alnatura employment world) and is raising the bar in the field of sustainable construction. In addition to reusable and previously recycled building materials, environmental friendliness was the main factor in selecting building equipment.
The market-defining manufacturer of drive and control technologies for smoke extraction and natural ventilation, D+H Mechatronic AG with headquarters in Ammersbek, Schleswig-Holstein near Hamburg, is expanding its sphere of activity in North America. A long established, family-run company, The Bronze Craft Corporation, which is the leading developer and distributor of window control systems for natural ventilation in the US and Canada is the new service and sales partner of D+H.
It has been hotly anticipated, and now it has arrived. The fully modular CPS-M digital smoke vent control panel from D+H has a new module, the AM 230. The AM 230 now enables a smart control panel to supply and control motorised 230 volt drives in addition to 24 volt window drives. What are the advantages? Smaller cable cross-sections, longer cable lengths and reduced costs.
“The Fontenay”, a new luxury hotel by the Alster river in Hamburg, provides a prime example showing that D+H has more than just products. The specialist and leading provider of solutions for smoke extraction and natural ventilation has developed a custom solution for the 14,000 m² glass façade of “The Fontenay” luxury hotel. Alongside the exterior effects of wind, water and air, burglary protection also required due consideration.
Digital, networked, integral and smart: These four words describe the key themes of BAU 2019 and also perfectly match the solutions that D+H is presenting at BAU, the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. Using an impressive staging of a building, the specialist in smoke extraction, natural ventilation and lift shaft smoke extraction will present its range of products in Munich from January 14 - 19, 2019.
The newly-developed Advanced Communication Bus (ACB) from D+H has revolutionised communication between window control systems and drives. Especially during major projects, building operators are often faced with the question, "Are all of my connections working? And if not, where is the problem?" ACB allows the drives to communicate with the control systems and gives them feedback about their opening widths and conditions.
The beginning was almost idyllic. It was located on Brockdorfstraße in Hamburg's Rahlstedt district, where the start-up company "Dingfelder + Hadler" (which later became D+H) originated in a garage in 1968. It has been a long time since the two-man operation working out of a tiny garage developed into a medium-sized group of companies
